Nha Trang has a seafront of resorts stuffed with leathering, fat Russians and several backpacker type streets oozing pissed up loutish Australians. But if you get the beach first thing for a swim then avoid said streets when possible, it's a pretty good city. In making a bit of an effort to actually interact with the locals and go to cafe's/resteraunts where the signs aren't sub-titled, i was lucky enough to meet Loc, who ownes a dirt cheap coffee shop and pretty much adopted me into his family for 6 days - coffee, tea, rum, cigs and scran in abundence!
